3 of my Favorite Apps to track Cash Flow
One of the most common questions I am asked by people of all ages and backgrounds, is “Do I need a budget?”
Oooohhhh, BUDGET – what a scary word! I like to retrain our perspective on a budget and simply view it as a guideline of tracking your cash flow, which reveals where you are spending your money.
Below are 3 of my favorite apps to assist in analyzing your cash flow on a monthly basis…added bonus – its Free!
- Mint – the best app I have found that has complete integration with your personal finances such as bank accounts and credit cards. Mint allows you to set goals and parameters around your spending and offers great visuals of your spending. Platforms: iOS, Android, and Web
- Acorns – best budget app for encouraging saving! For those who have a hard time ‘paying themselves first’ this is the app for them. How does it work? Acorns connects with your checking account and rounds up your purchases to the nearest dollar. With the difference of what was actually spent and the next dollar, Acorn deposits your change into another account. Perfect for mindless saving! Platforms: iOS, Android, and Web
- Wally – this is the best app for someone who would prefer to do a budget the old fashioned way – manual entry. Wally does not sync with your financial accounts and does require the commitment and time to input your data but it’s the best app for simplicity to only track your personal finances. Platforms: iOS, Android
A Tip For Success: COMMIT
- Commit to the task to connecting your accounts and setting up your goals
- Commit to tracking your finances for more than a couple months
- Commit to a time every month to review your monthly cash flow and progress on your goals
I would love to hear if you have used another app and why you love it, so hit reply and let me know!
