At some point we have all created dreams for ourselves. We have imagined what life would look like 5 years, 10 years or even 15 years from now.

We have painted our own canvases and we close our eyes and push play on our “dream real” and although dreams are an important part of growth and give us something to hope for, these dreams become disappointing when life starts to paint a different story.

A different journey started for me 10 years ago when my husband decided he no longer wanted to be married and he walked out.

Like many of you, I had pictured my life different up to that point.   I did not dream of negotiating possessions like a business transaction, figuring out how to divide assets, getting kicked out of my home, meeting with attorneys, but worse than the financial side was losing a family I had come to call my own, choosing friendships and then managing friendships to carefully protect information shared or not shared.

I did not dream of having to figure out how to untangle two lives that had become entwined into one.   I was left to redefine those dreams…to picture a different story.

I want to personally welcome you to WISE & WORTHY.

The vision of WISE & WORTHY has been fluid and growing over the last 10 years but the dream to serve women who find themselves going through a divorce or grieving the loss of a spouse was born out of the ash of my own broken dreams.

In 2009, I was running one day to clear my mind and the vision of educating women and teaching them how to gain control of their financial lives was born from a place of gratefulness that I had been given financial acumen and the security in knowing I could make solid financial decisions. I began to dream of a career in which I could impart and share this wisdom with other women. I picture myself as a part of your team, so you would be confident in knowing someone is on your side.

My hope is that whether you stumbled upon WISE & WORTHY or are visiting intentionally, you will come to use it as a resource and find valuable information to help encourage you along your journey. My goal is to provide blogs, guides, lists and other tools that can assist women like you and me, as they face some of life’s hardest transitions.

I would love to connect with you and be a part of your team!
